Lecrae "Rehab" Murks charts

Rehab… We all need it… Lecrae takes us on a musical ride of rehabilitation. He states that we are all addicted so something, whether that something is sex, drugs, thug life, or being a liar. He touches many frames of life and teaches how to deal with it under Christian principles. Not the religious views of Christianity but the real views of everyday life. Pretty much saying no one is perfect and we all need work but Christ is the one that teaches us daily on how to be more complete. This album features guest appearances from Sonny Sandoval of P.O.D, J.R of So Hot Productions, Flame of Clear sight Music, and many of his label mates of Reach Records. Rehab Debuted #1 on iTunes in US, UK, Australia, and Canada. Pushing down some of the more marketed and air played artist such as Eminem’s “Recovery” & Drake’s “Thank me Later”. These albums where pushed down to number 2 and 3 spots earlier this summer by Lecrae’s label mate Trip Lee when his album Between Two Worlds debuted. Here is where they sit today in the US of A: #1 Lecrae “Rehab” #2 Beastie Boys “Licensed to Ill” #3 Drake “Thank me Later” #4 Trip Lee “Between two Worlds” #5 Eminem “Recovery”. It also appears as I was writing this Rehab just claimed the #1 spot in New Zealand, #3 in Finland Most people know that when a new album comes out your old album sales increase. That being said the # 7 spot on US iTunes Hip-Hop Albums charts is none other than Rebel. Rebel is the 2008 ground breaking Christian Hip-Hop album that smashed records I give this album 4 out of 5 stars. The same ranking I gave Recovery by Eminem. http://www.apple.com/euro/itunes/cha...hopalbums.html

Between Two Worlds- Trip Lee

TripLee's Junior album "Between Two Worlds" is one of the most anticipated Christian Hip-hop albums of the year. Which is sure to go further than his sophomore album "20/20" which landed his music video "Real Vision" on 106 & Park as the new joint of the day and debut on iTunes #3 in Mainstream Hip-Hop.

Trip Lee released this statement on the upcoming album:

The response to 20/20 was more than I could have asked for. I heard so many stories about how God used the album in the lives of the listeners. The stories range from people just being helped through rough days, to people trusting Christ for the very first time. That blows me away! I want to thank everyone for all the support. But, it's time for a new chapter and a brand new album.
After 8 months of prayer, hard work, and God's grace, my third album is ready to be released. My latest project will release June 22 and is entitled 'Between Two Worlds.' I can't even express how excited I am about the project and I can't wait for people to hear it.
While 20/20 was devoted to helping people see God properly, B2W is devoted to helping people see life in a broken world properly (the way God sees it). The album is in many ways a collection of reflections on life in our fallen world. It's meant to celebrate the good things, be real about the difficult things, and look hopefully towards the solution. It's not meant to be a comprehensive study on life in a fallen world, only reflections on some of the things that were on my heart. It's almost like a reality show, not depicting just my life, but all of our lives. And my desire was for all of my reflections to be rooted in a biblical worldview. So I talk about human limitations, friendships, even music, but of course from a Christian perspective.
I chose the title 'Between Two Worlds' because that is where I find myself. And the cover is meant to reflect that reality. Not only am I fallen, but I live in a world that is fallen, interacting with fallen people and fallen situations. However, as a believer my citizenship is in Heaven (Philippians 3:20-21) and I look to the day when Jesus will "recreate" His creation. So while I seek to navigate life in this world, I look forward to the new Heaven and new Earth (Revelation 21). But until I get there, I worship and follow the Hero who already saved the day.

The Year of Reach

By: Bryan Sanders

So according to recent tweets from Sho Braka and LeCrae, we are in the year of Reach. "@lecrae
Incredible year ahead! Albums dropping all year starting with @lionsandliars, then @triplee116, then @116clique, then @lecrae."
Sho Baraka will bless us with his sophomore album, followed by TripLee's Junior ablum. Which is sure to go further than his sophomore album "20/20" which landed his music video "Real Vision" on 106 & Park as the new joint of the day.

It also looks like 116 Clique is back at it again. Their last compilation brought the world "13 Letters" a CD based off the 13 letters that Apostle Paul wrote to his churches, which became books of the bible.

Then LeCrae will drop his Senior album. Let me give you a background on his junior album "Rebel". Debuted #1 Gospel Music Chart, #2 Christian Albums, #15 Digital Albums, and #10 on Independant Albums. It is the first ever Holy Hip Hop album to stay # 1 for two weeks on the Gospel Music Billboard Charts, it also debuted #3 on iTunes in Mainstream Hip-Hop Chart above Lil Wayne's "Carter 3". This album has been on the charts for 67 weeks and still lingers around 15 or 16 on the Billboards right now.

LeCrae has truly showed that he has been blessed with the ability to "Reach" the world. We at Covenant Records pray that he goes even further this time. Keep breaking records fam and "Reaching" were some will never be able to go. We are looking forward to what God has to say through you all.
Be Blessed,
Bryan
